The Grade II listed historic buildings of Ely Museum have recently been extended and reconfigured by HAT Projects.

With funding from the Heritage lottery fund, HAT Projects were able to unpick and showcase the historic fabric of the former Gaol building, removing later extensions and replacing them with a new entrance building, and a two storey addition over the historic wall, creating a vaulted community/function room. A distinctive red toned dormer window addresses the street.
